Operation Plan for
Southeast Techhub

To achieve ICED’s goals of job and industry development, we will need the following operational funding.

SETH’s Past Funding

SETH’s first two years of operations were funded by the City of Estevan and the Southeast Saskatchewan Economic Partnership (SSEP). Half of our office space was donated by Affinity Credit Union. Most of this funding will end December 31, 2024.

SETH’s Future Funding

These funds will be used for the following:

  1. Wages for 3 full-time staff. Executive Director, Program Director and Events and Marketing Manager. Job descriptions can be found in the appendix section of this document.
  2. Office space and supplies. Half of our office has been generously donated to us by Affinity Credit.
  3. 3D Printer, software, and supplies. This will be used by our Small Medium Enterprises (SME) for prototyping.
  4. AutoCAD and a compatible computer. This will be used by our SMEs for design work.
  5. Marketing and promotional materials to promote Southeast Saskatchewan as a place for applied research and product development of energy generation, transmission, and storage technologies.
  6. Both hosting and attending Conferences.
    1. Our 2024 Innovation Conference on Energy Development (ICED) is mostly paid for through sponsorship. However, we do incur some operational costs for this event. We also host other smaller conferences.
    2. We will attend one relevant conference in North America every 2 months. Costs also include a portable promotional booth.
